Greenbriar association to hold annual meeting

The annual meeting of the Greenbriar Cemetery Association will be held Sunday, April 29 at the pavillion in the Greenbriar Community north of Madisonville. The business meeting will begin at 12:30 p.m.

The meeting is open to the public and anyone interested in the maintenance of the cemetery is urged to attend.

Association officers are Melvin Hahn, president; Ray Mosley, vice president; Thelma Risinger, treasurer; Nell Walters, secretary and Dorothy Graham, historian.

Dontaions to help defray yearly upkeep costs may be sent to Thelma Risinger, P.O. Box 295, Madisonville, Texas 77864.

Following the April 29 business meeting, members of the group will provide a covered dish meal at the pavillion.

The annual Greenbriar workday will be Saturday, April 21 at 8 a.m. and will include cleaning of the grounds and of some older grave markers.

Anyone interested in helping is welcome to attend.
