Thomason wins VFW drawing

After selling raffle tickets for the past five months, VFW Post 8233 held a drawing for the grand prize on Friday, Sept. 28, in front of Brookshire Brothers grocery story. The Kawasaki 360 Prairie 2x4x4 was won by John Thomason of Huntsville. Post Commander George Brogdan called Thomason immediately to arrange delivery of the 4-wheeler.

Brogdan said that the proceeds from the raffle will pay for establishing and furnishing the new VFW Post at Highway 75 and Concord Road.

Brogdan thanked those who donated and reminded them that the VFW Post is available for weddings, parties and other events. He can be reached at 936-348-1111.
