BILLY R. “BILL” GOODRUM Jan. 11, 1931 - Dec. 17, 2007

Billy R. “Bill” Goodrum, 76, of West Columbia, passed away Monday, Dec. 17, 2007, in Houston. Funeral services were Thursday, Dec. 20, 2007, in the Palms Funeral Home Chapel in Angleton. Burial was in Angleton Cemetery.

Billy was born Jan. 11, 1931, in Jozye/Madisonville to Selven and Josie (Nichols) Goodrum.

He retired from Monsanto Chemical Company and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Melton Goodrum, S.J. Goodrum and Luther Goodrum and his children's mother, Ann Dawes Goodrum.

Survivors include his wife, Donna Goodrum; sons and daughters-in-law James Goodrum and wife Cindy, and Rusty Goodrum and wife Michele; daughters Cathy Petersen and Susan Safahi and husband Fred; brother Leon Goodrum; sisters Earline Driskell and Doris Hines; 10 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; stepdaughter Shelly Marshall and husband Mathew.
