MCISD recognizes board's contributions

January has been designated School Board Appreciation Month in Texas, and schools throughout the state are taking part.

The Madisonville CISD Board was recently honored as well.

MCISD Board Members are:

Position 1- Dennis McWhorter

McWhorter has been on the board since May 2006 and is up for re-election in May 2009.

Position 2- Steve Andrews, secretary

Andrews has been on the board since June 2003, and is up for re-election in May 2009. He has been board secretary since 2005.

Position 3- Greg McBee

McBee has been on the board since May 2007 and is up for re-election in May 2010.

Position 4 - Todd Faries, president

Faries has been on the board since 2004 and is up for re-election in May 2010. He has been board president since May 2007.

Position 5 - Liz Henson, vice president

Henson has been on the board since 2005 and is up for re-election in May 2008. She has been board vice-president since May 2007.

Position 6 - David Stiver

Stiver is serving an unexpired term. He began his current service in 2007 and is up for re-election in May 2008. However, he served Madisonville CISD for 15 years prior to this term, not only as a board member but as president and vice president.

Position 7 - Joel Shaw

Shaw has been on the board since January 2003 and is up for re-election in May 2008.
