2008 Madisonville High School graduation images are ready to be picked up at Madisonville High School. Orders for Madisonville Junior High graduation may be picked up at Jay Hardy Photography, on the Square. Call 936-348-2700.

First United Methodist Church will host its Vacation Bible School June 16-19 from 9 a.m. to noon. Kids going into kindergarten through fifth grade are welcome. Come celebrate “Power Lab - Discovering God's Awesome Power” as this year's theme. For more information, call Stacy Bennett at 348-7739 or Missy Allen at 348-4921.

A voter's registration drive will be held in front of the home of Lois Brown at 907 Amos St. in Madisonville on Wednesday, June 18, from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. If you have any questions, call Lois at 936-348-6003.

The Juneteenth parade will be held June 19 starting from the lake house at Lake Madison at 10 a.m. Churches, businesses, organizations and individuals are encouraged to participate with a float, vehicle, marching unit or bike. Those who want to be in the parade need to be there at 9:30 to be placed in line. For information, call Bernice Holiday at 936-348-5176.

Madisonville Christian Fellowship will hold its vacation Bible school on Saturday, June 21, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the church at 206 N. McIver. For questions, call Cheryl at 348-5923 or Carolyn at 396-5714.

Madison County Historical Commission is seeking those who served in the military during World War II, also those who served in defense-related factories, nursing and civil defense organizations. The American Legion Family meets the first Tuesday of each month at the American Legion Hall at 800 N. May at 6:30 p.m.

Madisonville VFW Post 8233 meets at the post building, 1300 N. May, every third Tuesday at 7 p.m.

There will be no June monthly meeting of the Madison County Republican Party because the Republican State Convention will be held in Houston that month. Meetings will resume in July.

Pool Chapel Baptist Church will hold its Pastor's Aid Program Sunday, June 22, 2008, at 3 p.m. at Pool Chapel. The guest will be Rev. Jimmy Lawrence of Huntsville. For more information, call Rev. D.F. Johnson at 348-6014.
