Locals who were here 60 or more years ago have memories of the courthouse that graced our Town Square before the current one. Several photos of that previous one hang in the Museum. Usually they catch new visitors’ eyes right off the bat. It was totally different than our current one. Iola ISD will hold an Iola Science Camp from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday, for kids in first through fifth grade. Proceeds from the camp, which costs $50 per camper, will be used to purchase science supplies for the high school science lab. Please make checks payable to Iola ISD.
