The North Zulch FFA Wool Team competed at Bell County Sat., Feb. 10. The team placed 4th overall. Katie W. placed 4th on the rail and 8th individual overall. Garrett R. placed 9th on the rail. Sunday, Feb. 11 NZFFA competed at San Antonio Rodeo and the team placed 8th overall.

7th Annual Kid Fish

There is still time to register for the Fort Boggy State Park 7th Annual Kid Fish scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 24. To register contact the park office by calling 903-344-1116, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. The deadline to register is Feb. 16, but it may close earlier if both sessions fill up. Don’t delay in registering due to the limited space available.

The Madisonville Police Department is actively addressing recent concerns over its staffing levels, stating that the force is still active despite some departures. City Manager Fabrice Kabona has stated that operations continue to run smoothly, supported by reserve officers, officers from Madisonville Consolidated School District, and recruits currently in the academy.

The North Zulch Volunteer Fire Department held their 7th annual chili cook-off Saturday, Feb. 3, at the future home of the NZVFD & NZVFD Auxiliary. Wet, soggy and muddy grounds didn’t stop cookers and community members from supporting the annual event.
