Sally Nelson, CEO of HMH, addressed the Madisonville city council at the council’s meeting Nov. 14.

She informed council members that HMH would be opening up the Madisonville Medical Clinic in the vacant building on Highway 21 west of the Madisonville Volunteer Fire Department. The facility was once home to the Iron Mountain Medical Center.

Nelson says the new facility will have several features including physical therapy, occupational therapy and x-ray machines. Other plans include having a free-standing emergency room.

“Strategically, we've always thought we wanted to reach out to Madisonville,” Nelson said. “We have new signs up and an open house planned.”

Opening day is scheduled for Jan. 1, 2012.

I didn't know this hospital provides for the patients physical therapy as well. I have already started physical therapy at Spectrum Rehab Center, which I found it online at and I don't want to try another clinic because I am happy with these medical services.

All the buildings should be clean to keep the microbes away. For instance, I went a few times at the ophthalmology from and I liked how they keep clean the facility. From what I saw I am sure that this clinic will always pass the health inspections. They care about their clients, therefore, of the environment where they are treated.

Yes, I prefer private clinics because they offer better services for their patients, they offer suitable treatments that meet the national health service standards and costs, they offer excellent individual care for everyone. For instance, I've started to go to a local clinic because I've developed a health problem at work and I don't regret my decision in choosing this clinic. For more information, contact me.

I was hospitalized last year when the clinic was open. It needed a lot of medical equipment, I remember that some of devices didn't work, including the nighthawk radiology machine. I hope that this year everything is in order, the equipment is functional, the medical staff is qualified, the doctors are good.
