Ben Perry, 43, of Madisonville, passed away on Saturday, Feb. 6, 2016, in College Station. Funeral services were held Monday, Feb. 8, at Day Funeral Home Chapel in Madisonville. Burial followed at High Prairie Cemetery. A visitation was held prior to the service on Monday. John High officiated.
Funeral services for Mrs. A. Marie Hargrave of Bedias, were held Tuesday, Feb. 9, 2016, at Madisonville Christian Fellowship Church in Madisonville. The Revs. Wade Phillips, David Medina and Jerald Brown officiated. Burial followed in the Bedias Baptist Cemetery. A visitation was held at Madisonville Funeral Home on Monday evening.
Gwen Dale Bradley Sr. was born July 27, 1923, in Hughes Springs, to Daniel Olin and Lena Maybelle Bradley. He was the oldest of five children. He received Christ in 1935 at age 12 and was baptized at Crossroads Baptist Church in Arkansas. Dale married Jamie Carolyn Beavers Davis in July 1982.

Edna Doris Jarrett, of Madisonville, passed away on Jan. 25, 2016, in Madisonville at the age of 86 years. Funeral services were held Saturday, Jan. 30, 2016, at First Baptist Church in Madisonville. The Rev. Wade Phillips officiated. Interment followed in New Baden Cemetery near Franklin. A public visitation took place on Friday, Jan. 29, at Madisonville Funeral Home.
Thomas Quitman Martin Jr., 85, of Madisonville, passed away Thursday, Jan. 28, 2016, in Bryan. Funeral services were held for Saturday, Jan. 30, at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church in Madisonville.
Cynthia Ann Crawford, 68, of Hilltop Lakes, was called home to the Lord on Saturday, January 30, 2016. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Feb. 3, 2016, at 1 p.m. in the Willowhole Cemetery Chapel. The Rev. Wade Phillips will preside over services. Burial will follow at Willowhole Cemetery. Funeral services have been entrusted to Cozart Funeral Home in Normangee.

Funeral services were held on Friday, Jan. 29, at Day Funeral Home Chapel. Brother Don Grigsby officiated. Graveside services were held Monday, Feb. 1, at National Cemetery in Houston.
Funeral services for Lotus Elaine (Wilcox) McGinty were held Tuesday, Jan. 26, 2016, at Madisonville Funeral Home in Madisonville. A visitation was held that morning until the time of the funeral service, and burial followed in Park Cemetery. The Rev. Edward McKnight officiated, and all arrangements were under the direction of Madisonville Funeral Home.
Ruby Isbell Carlisle, 91, of Houston, passed away peacefully on Monday, Jan. 18, 2016, after a gallant battle with lung cancer and cardiac issues. Ruby had a warm, loving personality and extended kindness to every person she met. She loved people and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She was hardworking and selfless, always putting others’ needs ahead of her own. She worked as a Harris County J.P. court clerk for 40 years. She took great pride in her work and her professional nature was respected by all. She was very active in her church, volunteering her time to recording accounts and providing transportation to those in need. Everyone who knew her loved her.

Bryan Holiday, 32of Madisonville, passed away on Friday, Jan. 8, 2016.
Mr. Charles Carroll Averitt Sr. 73, of North Zulch, passed away on Jan. 7, 2016, at his home. Graveside funeral services were held Monday, Jan. 11, 2016, at the Rock Prairie Cemetery east of North Zulch. Visitation was held at the Madisonville Funeral Home on Monday.
Frank Turner, 68, of Madisonville, passed away on Saturday, Jan. 2, 2016, , at St. Joseph Hospital in Bryan. He was born Dec. 1, 1947.
C.L. (Charles) Kizzie was born on July 18, 1947, to Cleota and Celia Mae Carson Kizzie. He attended school at Madisonville ISD. After graduation he began his career as a cook. Later on after moving to Mexia. He held various positions in other fields, with the longest being at the Mexia Rock Crusher (25 years). He was a "Jack of all trades". Mr. Kizzie was preceded in death by both parents; stepfather Leslie Gilbert; a son Charles Kizzie; brother Sidney Kizzie; and grandson Ian Spence.
