Sonny’s life will be celebrated at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 13, 2024, at Day Funeral Home Chapel with the visitation prior to the service beginning at noon. The burial will follow at Mount Tabor Cemetery. Bro. Brad Brock will officiate.

1941 – 2024 Glenda Rose Batson Wyatt, aged 82, affectionately known to many as Granny Rose, peacefully departed to be with her Lord on March 6, 2024, at The Hospice of East Texas in Tyler. The overwhelming love for Glenda was unmistakable as she was surrounded by loved ones in the weeks preceding her passing and at the moment of her departure. Born on April 9, 1941, in Normangee, Texas, Glenda was the daughter of Charlie and Alda Belle Batson. She found her lifelong love in Daniel Thornton (“Poppy”) Wyatt, to whom she was married for 48 years until his passing on March 6, 2004. Glenda is also preceded in death by her brother, Charles Batson.

Rod was a kind and helpful man with a passion for motorcycles and deep love for his family and friends. Rod was a Master Carpenter with gifted hands that could seemingly fix or build almost anything.
