John Adrian Mock, age 86, passed away July 16, 2023, in Boerne, Texas, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on October 7, 1936, to John Eugene Mock and Mary Mattern Mock in Houston, Texas. John attended school in Houston, Texas, and graduated from Reagan High School. Following high school, John attended the University of Houston and served in the Air National Guard of Texas.

Carolyn Jo Warren, known to many as “Dody,” age 80, peacefully passed away on July 5, 2023, while in the hospital in Houston, Texas. She was born on September 28, 1943, in Houston, Texas, to John and Iva Mae (Castleberry) Phillips and chose to make a life there for many years until moving to Madisonville, where she resided until her death.

Jewell Imogene (Jones) Landers; 94 years, 2 months, 14 days; of Palestine, TX; passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday; July 15, 2023. Her life will be celebrated at 11AM on Thursday; July 20, 2023 at University Heights Baptist Church in Huntsville, TX with Bro. Richard Rogers officiating. The visitation is scheduled to begin at 10AM prior to the service and the burial will follow at Bedias Baptist Cemetery in Bedias, TX.

BILLIE WRAY STRAUSS

Billie Wray Kay Eakin Strauss passed away peacefully on June 27, 2023. Billie was born on July 28, 1929, in Tyler, Texas, to William Rosamond Kay and Velma Verona Herring Kay. The family moved to Madisonville, Texas in 1936. She gave her life to Christ at age 10 at First Baptist Church in Madisonville. After graduating from Madisonville High School in 1945, she attended Baylor University, graduating in 1949. She married Bob Eakin on June 6, 1949 and they had five children together. She was active in church life, serving in the WMU and teaching Sunday school. She was also active in Little League baseball, serving as the president of the Ladies Auxiliary.
