1938 – 2023 Roscoe Fielding Bayless, III, fondly known as Sonny, was born on July 14, 1938, in Houston, Texas, and peacefully passed away at his home on Dec. 4, 2023, at the age of 85. Growing up in the east end of Houston, he attended Briscoe Elementary, Deady Middle School and Milby High School, where his father served as the principal and teacher.

Pete’s life was celebrated 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 3, 2023, at Day Funeral Home with the burial to follow at Midway City Cemetery. Bros. Brad Brock and Winston Spencer officiated.

She passed away so peacefully after a short, but brave and gracious, battle with cancer with her husband, Clark, and loving caregiver, Sabrina, at her side.
