Grace Elaine Houston

Grace Elaine Houston went home to heaven on Monday, November 4, 2013 after a brief, but courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.  Grace was born on Easter Sunday,
April 21, 1935 in Bedias, Texas to Wilma Irene Corley and C.B. “Boots” Plaster. 
Grace had been a resident of Madisonville for 2 ½ years having moved from Augusta,
Kansas where she lived for over 15 years.   

A celebration of life memorial service was held 11 am, Friday, November 8, 2013 at
Madisonville Funeral Home.  The family received friends from 10 am until service
time on Friday at the funeral home.

Grace was proceeded in death by her parents; her husband, James E. “Jim “ Houston;
infant daughter, Carla Elaine Houston; brothers, Don Plaster and Stanley Plaster.

Grace is survived by her children; Mike Houston of Bella Vista, AR, Cheryl Adams and
husband, Randy of Madisonville, TX, Angela Fuson of El Dorado, KS, David Houston of
Austin, TX; sister, Nell King and husband Rik of Lake Jackson, TX, brother, Jerry
Plaster of Vidor, TX, sister-in-law, Diane Plaster of Huntsville, TX; grandchildren,
Shawn Fuson and wife Eden, Leeland Adams and wife Morgan, Laura Adams, Jason Adams and wife Mary Hope, Jonathan Houston and wife Stephanie, Matt Houston, Amy Houston,Ashley Perry, Amber Graves and husband Brant, Katherine Grace Houston, Amber
Carline; great grandchildren, Juliene Fuson, Lillian Fuson, Cassius “Cash” Fuson,
Nolan Adams, Sophie Adams, Emma Graves, Carter Graves, Martin Davenport, Kristen
Davenport, and special “adopted” great granddaughter, Kaeley Hansen as well as
numerous nieces and nephews.  

Grace is also survived by close family friends Sandy Hansen, Wichita, KS and Ray
Johnson, Madisonville, TX.

Memorials may be made to Wounded Warriors Project, St. Jude Children’s Hospital or
American Cancer Society.
