The coaching carousel continues to turn as Madisonville adds two new hires to their ever-evolving coaching staff. Reagan Shelton has been hired as the new, head volleyball coach for the Lady Mustangs, and Logan Brock will join the football and powerlifting programs as an assistant.
Shelton has a strong volleyball background. As a native of Hereford, Shelton was a two-time state champion in high school, at both Hereford and Canyon Randall.
Shelton went on to become a collegiate standout at San Diego State University where she received numerous Mountain West conference honors. Shelton coached for two years in San Diego, CA. before returning to Texas to coach at Perryton High School.
“Reagan will be an outstanding addition to our athletic program,” said Athletic Director Rusty Nail in a statement.
Brock, who previously served as a coach at Glade High School in West Palm, FL. has been added to the Madisonville football staff.
Brock, a Copperas Cove native, was a standout tight end at Copperas and at Texas Christian University under coach Gary Patterson. Brock spent a few seasons in the NFL with the Houston Texans and the Carolina Panthers.
“Logan will be a tremendous asset to our football program and our continued growth with our strength and speed development,” said Nail.
