Activity at local schools begins this week

Theater arts is scheduled to have auditions Aug. 20-21 at 5 p.m. in the high school auditorium for a fall play. MHS Principal Shaye Murphy also reports the school’s student council will be meeting and catching up before classes begin.

As for students in general, all MCISD campuses will have early registration on Monday, Aug. 13, from 9 a.m. to noon and 1 to 3 p.m. High school schedule pickups will begin Aug. 14-15 with seniors and continue Aug. 16-17 with juniors and sophomores. Freshmen can pick up their schedule Aug. 23 from 9 to 11 a.m.

NZISD will have high school and junior high schedules, locker assignments and parking permits handed out from Aug. 13 to 16. Each grade level has designated dates and time for pickups, but students or parents can come for the items after if needed. Students must be clear of all fees and charges from the last school year to receive lockers or parking permits.
