The Madison County Economic Development Corporation announced Monday the donation of a newly-constructed airport terminal building to the city of Madisonville. Based on an idea from Madisonville City Manager Camilla Viator (also an EDC member) to make airport improvements, and after Viator was contacted by a company wanting to expand their business to this area, the EDC decided to take on the challenge of building a functional terminal to better serve the area.
The project cost $50,005 with an option to expand in the future if needed. President Matt W. Newton thanked the city for its support and said that the EDC was grateful to to assist with the airport revitalization project.
