Annual Fish Fry a great success


Thank you to everyone who came out last Saturday afternoon in support of the Bedias Volunteer Fire Department during the Annual Fish Fry and Auction. This event is the principal fundraiser for our brave and diligent volunteer firefighters in their efforts to keep us, and our properties, safe throughout the year.

•October and November are busy times in Bedias. The Bedias Civic Club will meet next Thursday evening, Nov. 2, at 6 p.m. at the Bedias Civic Center. Coming up next is our annual Bedias Women’s Club Veteran’s Day Dinner, Saturday evening, Nov. 11, hosted at the Bedias Baptist Church, fellowship hall, followed up by the second annual Bedias Women’s Club Country Market on Saturday, Nov. 16, also at the Bedias Civic Center. •We will be posting a new feature, "Bedias Stories," with short video interviews with local community leaders and entrepreneurs on our Facebook page, Our first two interviews are with Tina Campbell (Pit Stop Cafe) and Joe Gray, (Shiloh Baptist Church, at Pankey). Our two- to three-minute video interview subjects will be invited to share their personal story, something about their business or organization, and their hope and vision for the Bedias community.
