Bedias Women’s Club Veteran’s Day Dinner this Friday

The annual Bedias Women’s Club Veteran’s Day Dinner is Friday, Nov. 11, at 6 p.m., at the Bedias Baptist Church Fellowship Hall. All Bedias area veterans and a guest are invited and encouraged to attend the dinner and to be recognized for their service to our country.  Gerald Fontaine shares that the Navasota VFW will host a number of events recognizing Veterans, Saturday, Nov. 12. There will be a 10:30 a.m. downtown parade, a display of a Blackhawk helicopter, an 11 a.m. barbecue Lunch, both at the VFW Hall, a raffle/fundraiser, and an 8 p.m. country/western dance. We are looking forward to our Second Sunday Christian Movie Night, Sunday, Nov. 13, at Miller’s Theatre, in downtown Navasota. Bedias Women’s Club will sponsor a “Country Market,” Thursday, Nov. 17, 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Bedias Civic Center. Our market will feature handmade wood and leather items including furniture and purses; homemade jams, jellies, cheeses and baked goods; gourmet coffee; antiques, soaps; guns and ammo, and much more. 

 The women’s club will also offer a boxed supper containing a baked potato with all the trimmings and a dessert.  Free admission, free door prizes and a silent auction.  Everyone is welcome!

Proceeds from the Women’s Club Market will help defer the cost of the Women’s Club annual Veterans Day dinner and our annual scholarships to Madisonville and Iola High School seniors. Please call Patti Rickard, 936-395-2223, for more information.
