Book fair opens covers this week

Posted 11/19/19

This week in the elementary library is the semi-annual book fair. With books perfect for pre-readers all the way through preteens, this is a great place to help your kids develop a love for reading. It is also great opportunity to get some Christmas shopping done for your kids and extended family! This is a fundraiser for the library and a great opportunity to support Iola Elementary. The bookfair will run until Friday, Nov. 22 during school hours.

Shop local for Christmas this year! There will be an Iola Town and Country Christmas Market on Monday, Dec. 9 from 3 p.m.-9 p.m. This event will take place at The Mercantile at Mail St. Market and The Rockin’ Chair. Join us for shopping, fellowship and fun! There will be many vendors featured, hot cocoa, local food truck, and musicians playing your favorite Christmas music!

Shout out to the varsity football and varsity volleyball! Both had amazing seasons and worked hard for their achievements.

There will be no school the week of Nov. 25 for Thanksgiving break!

If there is something that you would like to be placed in the Iola article, please contact me at Junebug.crosby@gmail.com. Please let me know by Thursday afternoon so I can place it in the article for the next week.
