NORTH ZULCH — The Bulldog baseball team is now 1-11 after a close loss to Normangee on Friday.
The Panthers took an early 4-0 lead in the third inning and held onto it, despite the Bulldogs fighting back with runs in the fourth, fifth and sixth innings. The final score was 7-5.
The North Zulch season ended with a home game vs. Slocum on Tuesday.
The Lady Bulldogs lost 12-1 to Normangee.
Stats by the inning were not available at press time.
Head Coach Greg Horn said the girls were plagued by errors.
“Defensively we had too many errors as a team,” Horn said. “Offensively we never put a series of hits together to score. To their credit, Normangee is a good team with good hitters and good speed.”
The girls played at Burton on Tuesday in their last district game of the season.
