Bulldogs lose again to Grapeland

The North Zulch Bulldogs are now 1-10 after a huge 10-0 shutout loss to Grapeland on Friday.

“We played better on the defense side but struggled to get a big hit with runners in scoring position,” said Head Coach Matt McManemin. “We need to be more consistent at the plate with our approach.”

The Bulldogs were off on Tuesday and host Normangee at 6:30 p.m. Friday.

The Lady Bulldogs beat Somerville 9-3 on Friday, bringing their record to 9-2 and lifting them to second place in the district.

“The girls played great,” said Head Coach Greg Horn. “Our hitting has really developed well as the season has progressed. Megan Massey hit a triple to the fence and Micah Coleman stepped up at the right time with a line drive in-the-park grand slam down the right-field line. Robin Diserens pitched a good game as well.”

The girls played at Snook on Tuesday and host Normangee on Friday.
