The North Zulch Bulldogs defeated Somerville Tuesday night at home, 76-65. The Bulldogs who led at the half, 35-27, outscored the Yeguas 29-19 in the fourth quarter gaining their 13th win of the season.
“I couldn’t be more proud of the guys for once again stepping up when they needed to,” said Head Coach David Graves. “It was a back and forth game; Somerville never stopped coming, but our boys simply said we are not losing and came out with the win.”
Gerhart Wiese led the team with 30 points and 19 rebounds, Trey Crocker had 19 points and five steals, Michael Harris had 18 points and six rebounds and Cole Weaver had six points and five rebounds.
North Zulch couldn’t sustain their strong play, however, falling to Snook on the road Friday, 85-42.
“Although we lost, I’m proud of the way the guys fought back,” Graves said.
