Funeral services for Caroline Jean Oyler, 69, of Bedias, are set for 3 p.m. Saturday, June 4, 2016, at Shiloh Baptist Church in Bedias, with a visitation to be held on Friday, June 3, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Madisonville Funeral Home.
Burial will follow the service in the Pankey Cemetery in Bedias. The Rev. Joe Gray will officiate.
Caroline was born in Bryan on Aug. 15, 1947, to Mary and Johnnie Oliver Botkin. She went to be with her Lord on May 30, 2016, in Madisonville. Caroline was a resident of Bedias since 1990 and previously lived in Madisonville. She was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church and loved her church family and the activities at the church.
Caroline was a homemaker and always kept a tidy house and was a very good cook. Her hobbies included coloring by numbers, playing games on TV and she loved reading and singing.
Caroline was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Leroy Botkin, Don Botkin, Johnnie Oliver Botkin Jr. and Jesse Botkin; and her sister, Lois Laura Darlene Payonk. She is survived by her husband, Harry Oyler; sons Jesse Wilbert Ackley III (Kellie) of Bedias and Carl Eugene Ackley of Caldwell; daughters, Wanda Jean Adams (Roger) of Bryan, and Tammy Lynn Ackley of Bryan; step-daughters, Esther Oburn (Nathan) of Pleasant Hill, Ohio, Rebecca Lenore Gordon of Crystal Beach, Mary Noelle Case (Bruce) of Savannah, Mo., Virginia Irene Ohler of Seattle; brother, Charles Botkin (Theresa) of Caldwell; sister, Dorothy Gold of Austin; and 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers are Carl Ackley, Jeffery Adams, Mike Nash, Ronald Ingram, Shawn Brannon and Richard Griffin.
Madisonville Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
