Funeral services for Charles Dwight Taylor, 73, of Madisonville, were held Wednesday, Oct. 25, 2017, at the Sand Prairie Baptist Church near Normangee. Larry Andrews and Ivan Linebaugh officiated, and interment followed in the Jozye Cemetery outside of Madisonville.
Charles Dwight Taylor was born on Jan. 2, 1944, in Lapanto, Ark., and passed away on Oct. 22, 2017, in Madisonville. His parents were Will and Vera (Mayo) Taylor. Mr. Taylor had lived in Madisonville since 1996 and was the owner of Midsouth Air Conditioning in Madisonville. He was a member of the Sand Prairie Baptist Church and loved to go whenever he was able. Church was a big part of Mr. Taylor’s life, and he always encouraged his family to attend church. Mr. Taylor enjoyed hunting, fishing and most of all, spending quality time with his family.
He is preceded in death by both of his parents and four brothers, Joseph, Davis, Sam and Homer Taylor. Surviving family members include wife, Carolyn Taylor of Madisonville; sons, Dwight Taylor (Debbie) of Diboll and Keith Taylor (Billie) of Madisonville; daughters, Brenda Durham (Kenny) of Spring and Margo Myrick (Jason) of Madisonville; and brother, Dennis Taylor of Houston. Mr. Taylor is also survived by grandchildren, Russell Taylor, Darrell Billingsley, Cameron Hightower, Breann Holcomb, Cody Denman, Taylor Denman, Brandon Taylor and Madison Taylor and many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Dean Lewis, Michael Douga, Isaac Linebaugh, T.J. Douga, Tim Douga and Quaid Eaton.
The Taylor family wishes to thank the wonderful staff of Hospice Brazos Valley in Bryan for the devoted care and attention given to Mr. Taylor.
