C.L. (Charles) Kizzie was born on July 18, 1947, to Cleota and Celia Mae Carson Kizzie. He attended school at Madisonville ISD. After graduation he began his career as a cook. Later on after moving to Mexia. He held various positions in other fields, with the longest being at the Mexia Rock Crusher (25 years). He was a "Jack of all trades". Mr. Kizzie was preceded in death by both parents; stepfather Leslie Gilbert; a son Charles Kizzie; brother Sidney Kizzie; and grandson Ian Spence.
Those left to cherish his memories are his wife, Henrietta Cooper, of Mexia; sons Charles (Yolanda) Cooper, Mexia, Cornelious (Tara) Cooper, Waco, Reginald Kizzie, Dallas; daughters Alma Cooper and Carlier Cooper, Mexia, and Mary Cooper, Arlington; 17 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; sister: Mary Gilbert, Madisonville; Sister-in-law: Dorothy Palmer (Willie B) Dallas, Texas, special niece: Shirley Kimbrough (Jesse) Mexia; special nephews: John Washington, Dallas, and Wilford Keggins; Dallas; and a host of other relatives and friends.
