Fourth- through ninth-graders braved the heat and humidity during Mustang Football Camp this week at the high school stadium.
The Mustang coaching staff, led by Head Football Coach and Athletic Director Rusty Nail, offered a three-hour-per-day, three-day training with sessions in skills on both sides of the ball.
Several coaches were there to scout talent – even some who don’t coach football. Nail said the young athletes were performing well.
“The kids did great,” he said after the first day of camp Monday. “The only thing that could get better is the number of kids participating.”
