'Country Market' set for tomorrow

Posted

The Annual Bedias Women’s Club Veteran’s Day Dinner was last Friday, Nov. 11. All area veterans were invited and encouraged to attend the annual dinner and to be recognized for their service to our country. Thank you to Janet Green, Sharon Allen and all of the other hardworking members of the Bedias Women’s Club for your work and dedication in making this annual event so successful.

Bedias Women’s Club will sponsor a “Country Market,” tomorrow, Thursday, Nov. 17, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Bedias Civic Center. The market will feature handmade wood and leather items including furniture and purses; homemade jams, jellies, cheeses and baked goods; gourmet coffee; antiques, soaps; guns and ammo and much more.

The women’s club will also offer a boxed supper containing a baked potato with all the trimmings and a dessert. Free admission, free door prizes and a silent auction. Everyone is welcome!

Proceeds from the Women’s Club Market will help defer the cost of the Women’s Club Annual Veterans Day Dinner and our annual scholarships to Madisonville and Iola High School seniors. Please call Patti Rickard, 936-395-2223, for more information.

Bedias Food Pantry distribution is this Saturday, Nov. 19, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Please call John Anderson, 936-395-2633 for information on how you can help with this important community outreach.

Bedias Baptist Church will host a community-wide Thanksgiving dinner, next Tuesday, Nov. 22, at 6 p.m. Everyone is welcome and encouraged to attend and share in the annual community gathering.
