Dean Rucker Sr., 79, of Madisonville, passed away on Saturday, July 16, 2016, in Conroe. Funeral services are scheduled for Tuesday; July 19, at 11 a.m. at North Madison Church of Christ in Madisonville. Will Odom will officiate. Burial will follow at Greer Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled for Monday from 5-7 p.m. at Day Funeral Home Chapel in Madisonville.
Dean was born on May 10, 1937, in Madisonville, to Dalton and Gladys (Parker) Rucker.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Gilbert Joe McLain; his grandson, Gary Lynn Rucker Jr.; his brothers, Sammy Rucker and Jimmy Rucker; and his sisters, Eloise Colquitt and JoAnn Lucas.
Survivors include his daughter, Thelma Risinger and husband, Norman, of Madisonville, his daughter, Pam Bullock of Milano; his son, Gary Rucker and wife, Janie, of Conroe, his son, Jim Rucker and wife, Mary, of Normangee, his son Dean Rucker, Jr. and wife, Jeannine, of Paso Robles, Calif.; 14 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and other family members and friends.
Serving as pallbearers are Sonny Goodrum, Jimmy Gilbert, Ray McVey, Glen Gray, James Cole and Tommy Parker.
Day Funeral Home of Madisonville is handling arrangments.
