Eddie W. Faust, beloved husband, father and grandfather, 88, of Madisonville, passed away on Saturday, March 19, 2016, in Madisonville. Eddie was born on April 17, 1927, in Mexia, to Roy and Mary Mays Faust. He was raised in Houston and worked for Rohm and Haas. He enjoyed golf and raising cattle, but his No. 1 passion was helping kids with their FFA and 4-H projects.
Eddie lived in Madison County since 1980 and was a member of the Rock Prairie Baptist Church.
Eddie was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Mary Faust; his first wife, Leslie B. Faust; and a brother, Bill Faust. He is survived by his wife, Bettie Jo Faust of Madisonville; by two sons, Randy Faust and wife, Diana, of North Zulch and Kerry Stroud and wife, Holly, of Normangee; three daughters, Lynn Cavarretta and husband, Doug, of Fort Walton Beach, Fla.; Diana Duke and husband, Mike, of College Station; and Lisa Garnett and husband, John, of Austin; a brother, James Earl Faust and wife, Barbara; and a sister-in-law, Billey Faust; grandchildren, Brian and Elizabeth Caverretta, Becky and Chris Carlisle, Heather Reece, Ethan Stroud, Kelley Duke, Jessica and Tim Dainty, Heather and Sean Soltis and Madison Garnett; and great-grandchildren, Harper Carlisle, Bennett Dainty, Chloe Cavarretta, Lawson Cavarretta and Easton Elliott. Eddie is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, March 22, at Madisonville Funeral Home. Burial followed in the Willowhole Cemetery in North Zulch. The Revs. Glenn Connor, Kerry Stroud and Olan Weaver officiated.
Visitation hours were held Monday, March 21, at the funeral home.
