FBC hosts MCISD staff

Posted

The First Baptist Church in Madisonville hosted the 11th annual MCISD teacher and staff luncheon last Tuesday in the Family Life Center.

The theme for the luncheon was “Wild About Our Staff.” Craig Baily welcomed the attendees and FBC Youth Minister Matt Carey said the opening prayer.

The group was treated to a meal of King Ranch Chicken, salad, green beans, bread and wonderful homemade desserts prepared by Ms. Betty Coleman and Ms. Donnie Wendel.

The church staff served the group as they went through the serving line. FBC Music Minister Warren Hunt and his wife Wendy provided a variety of dinner music for everyone to enjoy.

The Retired Teachers presented a $100 gift certificate to first-year teacher Ms. Kourtney Johnson.

Brother Joshua Crutchfield encouraged the teachers with closing remarks and led a group prayer. There were over 300 MCISD staff members in attendance.

A special note of thanks goes out to FBC members and students Tim Martin, Voyce Park, Kathy Farmer, Sandra Jones, Glenda Blair, Myrtle Wilson, Ann Hudson, Lorraine Coleman, Karen Overstreet, Jan Ward and Corrine Miller.

Another thanks goes to Ozarka for supplying the bottled water.

FBC wants MCISD administration, teachers, staff and personnel to know that they support them and will be praying for them as they begin a new school year.
