FFA teams perform strong at area contests

“We have students who will arrive early, stay late, and commit hours doing something hard to get something worth their effort,” says Lynita Foster, Agricultural Science Teacher.  “We thank each of you for encouraging these students and being part of their success.  We thank God for guarding our travels, for keeping all the students safe during some outdoor events on a very wet day and for allowing us the privilege of working with such outstanding young adults.”

Two more teams, Vet Tech and Dairy Cattle, are scheduled to compete this week on the area level.  Listed below are the current Area placing’s:

April 1st (at TAMU): Entomology – 1st place as a team, State Qualifier; Cheo Reyes – 1st individually; Morgan Manning – 2nd individually; Mia Caperton – 4th individually; Range – 1st place as a team, State Qualifier; Randall Navarro – 1st individually; Stormi Johnson – 2nd individually; Casey Corley – 3rd individually; Whitney Anderson – 4th individually

April 11 (at SHSU): Ag Sales – 1st place as a team, State Qualifier; Camryn Frederick – 1st individually; Asa Morgan – 2nd individually; Brinna Sims – 5th individually; Floral – 5th as a team, State Qualifier; Mariana Cisneros – 1st individually; Forages – 5th as a team, State Qualifier; Kacelyn Jarrell – 4th individually; Homesite – 3rd as a team, State Qualifier; Austin Longoria – 5th individually; Regan Smith – 8th individually; Garrett Underwood – 10th individually; Horse – 1st as a team, State Qualifier; Lyndie Dunn – 5th individually; Aly Ghormley – 7th individually; Land – 3rd as a team, State Qualifier; Matt Longoria – 7th individually; Casey Corley – 8th individually; Livestock – 37th as a team; Milk Quality – 6th as a team; Averie Sims – 9th individually; Poultry – 1st as a team, State Qualifier; Gabe Coleman – 3rd individually; Hollis Anderson – 5th individually; Cody Cole – 7th individually
