Frances Verlene Evans, the daughter of the late Willie Kaufman and Virgle (Scott) Biddle, went to be with her Lord on Thursday, July 21, 2016, at the age of 84.
Frances was born in Normangee on Dec. 12, 1931. She has lived most of her life in this area. She married the love of her life, the Rev. Billy H. Evans, who preceded her in death March 20, 2004. Together this union produced six boys, Billy Dale, Donald, David, George, Gary (who preceded her in death in 2014) and Jimmy (who preceded her in death in 2015).
To make a happy home, raise her sons and support her husband’s ministry was France’s life’s work.
Frances leaves behind four sons, Billy Dale and wife, Joyce Evans, of North Zulch, Donald and wife, Jolene Evans, of Bryan, David and wife, Dawn Evans, of North Zulch and George and wife, Lisa Evans, of North Zulch. She also leaves behind her greatest loves, her 20 grandchildren, 46 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
A time for the family to receive guests was held Sunday, July 24, 2016, at Davis-Cozart Funeral Home in Normangee. A Celebration of Life service was held Monday, July 25, 2016 at First United Pentecostal Church of Normangee, with the Revs. Daryl Munsey and Terry Seely officiating. Interment followed at Wealthy Cemetery.
