She also was named to the 2013 SEC All-Freshmen Equestrian Team.
She graduated third in her class from Madisonville High School where she was class president, in the honor society and Beta Club, and on the student council.
Knight also was a powerhouse on the softball field, where she received several honors, including being named as first team all-district pitcher.
She has competed in the American Quarter Horse Association in both all-around and reining, and has several top 10 finishes at the Quarter Horse Congress.
