Homecoming a success

Posted

What a wonderful homecoming weekend we had in Iola. The Bulldogs blew away Sabine-Pass Friday night. The Bulldog dash, parade, and all of the fun day activities were awesome. All of Main Street was packed with both people and vendors. I haven’t ever seen Iola fun day with so many vendors.

Thank you to all the volunteers who worked tirelessly to make this happen. Also, it was lovely to see the town shower the Evans family with love and support Saturday night for Easton’s family. The event was so packed that finding a seat was quite the obstacle and I think that they even ran out of food. It is so refreshing to live in a community that rallies around its members when they need to be uplifted.

•This week is Red Ribbon week for Iola Secondary. Wednesday is Be a H.E.R.O; wear camouflage or superhero shirt. Thursday is sock it to drugs, wear silly socks. Friday is team up against drugs, wear your school shirt.
