Jim Chiles, 68, of Madisonville, passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 16, 2016, in Madisonville. A memorial service was held Sunday, Feb. 21, at Crossroads Cowboy Church in Madisonville. The Rev. Tom Ruane officiated.
Jim was born on Aug. 18, 1947, in DeKalb, to Quinten and Mary (McMillan) Chiles and he worked for the Social Security office in Bryan for more than 40 years.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Christy Cooper. He is survived by his wife, Judy (Rothe) Chiles; his son, Jeffrey Chiles, and his wife, Kayla; his grandchildren, Kaylee and Rothe; his brother, Mike Chiles, and his wife, Kathy; his nephews, Lamar Hooks, and wife, Amanda, and Eric Chiles, and his wife, Susan, and their daughter, Mylee; and nieces Brook and Megan Queen.
Day Funeral Home of Madisonville handled arrangements.
