The Madisonville girls’ cross-country team qualified for the regional meets and will compete at the events in Huntsville on Monday.
All levels of Mustang cross-country competed in the district meets on Wednesday and Thursday in Fairfield.
“I’m very pleased with how my runners performed at the district meets,” said Madisonville head cross-country coach Jo Dorman. “I’m excited and look forward to seeing the girls compete at regionals on Monday.”
The junior high teams competed in the district round in Fairfield on Wednesday and the high school squad performed on Thursday. The junior high boys placed third at district while the girls earned fourth place. The Varsity girls placed second on Thursday while the boys were fifth.
All told, five individuals representing Madisonville earned medals in the district events on Monday.
“Please congratulate these runners when you see them,” said Dorman. “All of them have worked so hard all season and have logged a lot of miles.”
