The Madisonville girls’ softball team fell to Giddings at home Tuesday night 19-1. The Lady Mustangs bounced back on Friday beating Navasota on the road 20-15.
“It was a hard fought game,” said head coach Ashley Segler. “It was nice to come out on top.”
The Lady Mustangs improved to 2-8 with the win and while coach Segler was happy with the effort her team put forth she knows there’s still work to be done.
“Moving forward we have to be able to build on runs every inning and not allow the other team scoring to effect us,” Segler said.
Madisonville returns to action Thursday hosting Fairfield. Opening pitch is set for 1 p.m.
