It’s nearly impossible to start a story about the Madisonville boys’ soccer team without mentioning the streak. The Mustangs have not lost a soccer match since Jan. 10 and on Friday afternoon, Madisonville’s high-powered second half made sure that streak stayed intact as the Mustangs beat Hempstead 4-1.
“We have been playing well as a team,” said coach Reyes when asked about the key to the team’s recent winning streak. “Our defense has been playing very well, they also do a tremendous job helping the offense. This team is dedicated and determined to succeed.”
Luis Aceves and David Parras scored goals and assists were credited to Cristhian Martinez, David Parras and Bayron Veliz. Madisonville improved to 15-1 on the season with one tie.
