Maedell was a resident of Madison County all but a few years of her life and an active member of the First Baptist Church for most of those years where she worked as a Sunday School teacher, serving home bound members and showing the love of God through her service. She worked alongside her husband Buster to build a successful dairy farm and raise three children. She served her friends and community through the years serving on the Hospital Auxiliary, as an election judge and a volunteer to many. Among her many joys in life were her flower gardens and cooking for her family and friends but most of all visits from her children and grandchildren.
In her last years she was truly appreciative of all the visits, prayers and helping hands of her many good friends and family.
