A homegoing celebration for Marvin Raynard Craig, II, 24, of Midway, was held Sunday, Jan. 17, 2016, at Madisonville High School Auditorium. A visitation was held Saturday, Jan. 16, at Madisonville Funeral Home.
Marvin was born to Marvin Craig Sr. and LaTreace Craig in College Station on July 8, 1991. He accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at New Life Missionary Baptist Church in Madisonville by the Rev. Lloyd Jones. He attended Madisonville schools and graduated in 2009. After graduation, he attended Blinn College in Brenham, and later transferred to Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, where he graduated in December 2014 with a bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology.
On Jan. 13, 2016, he answered his heavenly father’s call. He is preceded in death by his grandfathers, R.T. Craig and Thornor McNultry; two uncles, Terry Craig and Michael McNultry; and one aunt, Dorothy Jean Craig.
Marvin is survived by one daughter, Paisley Rae Craig; fiancée Estella Moffett; father, Marvin Craig Sr. and mother, LaTreace Craig; brother, Martin Jermaine Craig; sister, Pavia LaTreace Craig; two loving grandmothers, Gertrude Webber and Molly Craig; three aunts, Darlene Craig, Cindy Ross and Thelma Jones (Curtis); and four uncles, Jimmy Polk (Linda), Don Craig (Margaret), Algia Craig (Misty) and Billy Craig; and host of cousins and family who loved and cared for him dearly.
