Mustangs' dominance continues in soccer


The Madisonville boys’ soccer team continued its dominance on both sides of the ball as the Mustangs recorded an 11-1 win over Cleveland Friday night.

The Mustangs controlled the game from the opening minutes leading 7-0 with 15:24 to go in the regulation.

Goals were scored by Luis Aceves, Mauricio Aceves, Christian Martinez, David Parras and Dixon Veliz. Assists were credited to Alfredo Hernandez, Josue Hernandez, Christian Martinez, Jesus Martinez, David Parras, Christian Quiroz, Alan Torres and Dixon Veliz.

“We are making strides to get better each game,” said Coach Reyes. “The team played really well.”

Madisonville improved to 9-1 overall on the season with one tie.

The Mustangs host Crockett on Friday at home at 5 p.m.
