Yemi Chukquogo knows and accepts the fact that differences exist.
Having lived in five different states and three different countries, she would know.
“Every state and country are different,” Chukwuogo said. “I love change and differences. We’re all people and we all bleed red.”
Chukwuogo enjoys her current setting as a Family Medicine physician at Madison St. Joseph. If there is one thing she enjoys about Texas, it’s the weather.
“It’s already snowing in New Jersey,” she said. “It’s much warmer here, and the people are more God-fearing and respectful.”
A native of Nigeria, Chukwuogo moved to Oklahoma at the age of 16.
She went on to receive her bachelor degree at Oklahoma State and her medical degree at the Ross University School of Medicine.
Her tenure in medical school took her to New York, Dominica and New Jersey before she received her first physician stint in Madisonville. Dominica is an island in the Caribbean.
