NORTH ZULCH — The North Zulch boys crushed Buckholts and Richards last week, bringing their overall record to 10-8.
Now 2-0 in district, the Bulldogs are playing strong in their first year under Head Coach David Graves.
“I thought both games went well, granted Richards and Buckholts are down and scraping for a team,” Graves said. “I thank them for showing us some details we need to fix. I also want to wish them well as they build their programs back, like we are doing every day.”
The Bulldogs hosted Calvert on Tuesday and will play Kennard at home on Friday starting at 6 p.m. Other upcoming games include strong opponents such as Oakwood and Centerville, and a rematch vs. Buckholts for Senior Night on Jan. 29.
“We have to switch gears as this stretch of games includes the one we need to be great at if we want to win the district title,” Graves said. “This has been our goal since day one. Calvert, Kennard, Oakwood and Centerville are all gunning for us and we are coming for them as well. It’s just about which team has the heart and discipline to push through this stretch and not accept no for an answer.”
