NORTH ZULCH – The Bulldogs lost a pair of games last week, bringing their overall record to 1-8.

The boys fell 16-1 to Normangee and 15-4 to Slocum.

Although North Zulch took an early lead in Thursday’s game, the Slocum Mustangs had a strong fifth inning in which they scored all of their 15 points. The Bulldogs were unable to cross home plate again after four runs in the first inning.

Earlier in the week, North Zulch played Normangee and suffered another tough 16-1 loss.

The Bulldogs have a bye week this week and travel to Latexo on April 5.

The Lady Bulldogs also suffered a tough 14-6 loss to Normangee on March 22.

And although a final score was not reported, Head Coach Greg Horn said the team played well offensively against Burton on Thursday.

“They have a good pitcher who we hit hard,” he said. “Defensively our outfield played well while we had some girls out of position in the infield. We’ll make changes going forward and we expect our infielders to rise to the challenge.”

The Lady Bulldogs traveled to Iola on Tuesday and will host Mumford at 5:30 p.m. Friday.
