Richard Lyndle Pearson; 93 years, 6 months, 11 days; of The Elwood Community in Midway, TX; passed away peacefully on March 24, 2020 in Bryan, TX. Graveside services are scheduled for 2pm on Sunday; March 29, 2020 at Allphin Cemetery with Bro. Glenn Connor officiating.

Richard Lyndle Pearson; 93 years, 6 months, 11 days; of The Elwood Community in Midway, TX; passed away peacefully on March 24, 2020 in Bryan, TX. Graveside services are scheduled for 2pm on Sunday; March 29, 2020 at Allphin Cemetery with Bro. Glenn Connor officiating.

Lyndle (who was known to his family and friends as "Lynn"), was born on September 13, 1926 in The Elwood Community of Midway, TX to Richard Augustus and Laura Mae (Traynham) Pearson. He graduated from Madisonville High School and served his country proudly in The United States Navy during World War II. He worked for many years for Hughes Tool Company in Houston and then worked for Memorial Hermann Hospital in Houston until his retirement back to his home in Elwood. During his time in Houston, he enjoyed working with the Boy Scouts of America as Scout Master of Troop 700 for nine years.

Lynn was preceded in death by his wife and the mother of his children, Viola (Hruby) Pearson; his sons, Mark Pearson and Terry Pearson; and his siblings, La'Nell, Elva, Helen, Evelyn, Laura "Modine", and Raymond.

Lynn is survived by his children, Clark Pearson and Laura Pearson; his grandchildren, Wendy Pearson, Tracy Moon, and Richard Gonzales; his great grandchildren, Allison Gonzales, Ruby Moon, Avalyn Gonzales, Alex Gonzales, and Mason Rose; his daughter-in-law, Sandy Pearson; his nephews, James Jenkins, Dan Schmiech, and Carol Jenkins; his nieces, Kay Jones and Bobby Vee Cooney; and numerous other family members.
