Richard Mark Pearson, 61, of Fort Worth, passed away on Thursday, April 14, 2016, at his home after a struggle with pancreatic cancer. Funeral services were scheduled for 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 19, at Day Funeral Home Chapel, 514 E. Main St., with the burial to follow in Allphin Cemetery. The visitation is scheduled prior to the service from noon-2 p.m. at Day Funeral Home Chapel.
Mark was born on Nov. 10, 1954, in Houston to Richard Lyndel Pearson and Viola Sophia Hruby Pearson. He graduated from Thomas Edison State College with a degree in aviation, and was both a pilot and an instructor for pilots. Mark dearly loved flying and spending his time on the ground with his many pets.
Survivors include his wife, Sandra Lynn Pearson; his daughter, Wendy Gail Pearson; his stepson, Anton Nelson Smith; his grandson, Richard Mason Rose; his step-granddaughter, Audrey Renee Smith; and his siblings, Terry Glenn Pearson, Laura La’Nell Pearson, Clark Wayne Pearson, Annette Koudelka Klekar, Garry Koudelka and Yvonne Koudelka Tull.
Mark’s bright smile, willingness to lend a hand and sincere friendship will be missed by the many, many lives he touched.
