Funeral services for Rickey Lynn Nealy, 53, of Madisonville, were held Wednesday, Aug. 16, 2017, at Madisonville Funeral Home Chapel in Madisonville. The Rev. Freddy Anderson gave the eulogy and Howard Watson officiated. Burial followed in Southside Cemetery in Midway.
Rickey was born on Nov. 18, 1963, to Mary An Nealey Curtis in Midway, and departed this earthly life on Aug. 11, 2017, in Madisonville.
He was raised by his grandparents, Leola Nealey and the late Genord Nealey.
Rickey attended and graduated from Madisonville High School in Madisonville, where he participated in football. His favorite hobby was playing dominoes.
He accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at Antioch Church of Christ in Midway. He attended West Main Church of Christ in Madisonville until his death.
Rickey was preceded in death by his stepfather, Melvin Curtis, and grandfather, Genord Nealey.
He leaves to cherish his memories: his mother, Mary Ann Nealey Curtis of Madisonville; his grandmother, Leola Nealey of Madisonville; his siblings, Stephanie, Veronica, Marian, Jacqueline, LaTonya, Dorita, Trent and Kirk (Tiffany) Curtis, all of Madisonville, and Felicia Curtis of Huntsville; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends.
Serving as pallbearers were Stoney Jackson, TeAndra McQueen, Antonio Nealey, Jerry Williams, Willie McAdams, Daniel “Debo” Nealey, Andre Merchant and Edren Jordan.
