The Son-Shine Outreach Center Board of Directors and Employees honored the volunteers of the Center on April 25, with a thank you luncheon for all they do to make the Center run efficiently. Twenty-seven volunteers and employees were in attendance at the luncheon, which was held at Legends Steakhouse.

Roses were given to five of the volunteers who were singled out for their work at the center. Lisa Wamsley, Coordinator of Son-Shine Outreach Center, presented a yellow rose to Kelly Wells, a pink rose to Vivienne Chambless, and a red rose to Linda Cordray to celebrate their being named volunteers of the year. Rena Bishop, Assistance Coordinator, presented a white rose to Arletha Turner and Pattie Rickard was also named as one of the volunteers of the year, but was not in attendance to receive her peach rose.

The Son-Shine Outreach Center is a ministry organization supported by fourteen area churches.
