T.C. King Jr., 84, of Madisonville, passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 23, 2015, in Madisonville. Visitation was held Saturday, Dec. 26 at First Baptist Church in Madisonville. Funeral services followed, and burial was in City Cemetery in Madisonville. Brother Phil Sigman officiated.
T.C. was born on July 20, 1931, in Centerville, to T.C. King Sr. and Veda (Goolsby) King. He was a deacon at The First Baptist Church of Madisonville where he enjoyed the fellowship of a wonderful circle of friends to whom his family will be eternally grateful. T.C. served in the U.S. Army and was a veteran of the Korean War. He officiated football, basketball, and baseball for 22 years; was an avid turkey and deer hunter; and he also enjoyed playing golf and gardening for many years. T.C. was a civil engineer and retired from Texas Department of Transportation as regional manager.
T.C. was preceded in death by his parents and his siblings, Roy King and Jamie King. He is survived by his wife, Margie (Parker) King; his daughter, Cindy Hochstetler and her husband, Bill; his granddaughter, Brooke Hochstetler; his sisters, Ann Haughey, Faye Smith, Wanda Lively and husband, Charles, and Mary Lively and husband, Gerald; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Serving as pallbearers were Sonny Dean, Craig Stover, Tony Leago, Butch Bennett, Craig Bailey, James Brown, D.C. Davidson, Durell Grey, Bill Parten, Jerry Harper, Charles Bristow and Kenneth Andrews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Building Fund at First Baptist Church in Madisonville.
