Thomas Quitman Martin Jr., 85, of Madisonville, passed away Thursday, Jan. 28, 2016, in Bryan. Funeral services were held for Saturday, Jan. 30, at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church in Madisonville.
Burial followed at Greenbriar Cemetery. The Rev. Mike Barone will officiate. A visitation was held Friday, Jan. 29, at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church with the scripture service and rosary.
Thomas, (known to his friends and family as Tom or T.Q.) was born Sept. 11, 1930, in Hempstead, to Thomas and Ollie (Curtis) Martin.
Thomas was preceded in death by his parents, and brothers, Nelson Seeber, Jr., and Duncan Martin. He is survived by his wife Ione (Rush) Martin; his daughter, Trisha Stricker and husband Sean; his grandaughters, Haley Boyd and fiancé Kelly Wells, and Destiny Stricker; grandson, Bradley Linebaugh and wife Stacie; great granddaughters: Isabella and Elena Linebaugh; his sisters, Marcele Durbin and Edith Smith, as well as numerous other family and friends.
Pallbearers were Sean Stricker, Kelly Wells, David Trahan, Harry Weitzel and Bradley Linebaugh, Ryan Poe.
Honorary pallbearers were Burke Landry, Paul Fivel and Steve Summers.
