Vintage Finds on the Madisonville Square

Posted

There’s a little something for everyone at Vintage Finds, located on the west side of the square in downtown Madisonville.

Whether it’s a taste of something new, like the olive oil made right here in Madisonville at the Lone Star Olive Ranch to a view of a local treasure in the 1927 Linotype Printing Press that the Madisonville Meteor was actually printed on, there’s a treasure waiting to be found for everyone.

Previously owned by the Risinger family, current owners, James and Dora (Bailey) Compis are a gem in and of themselves. Their passion for the history and culture of the area is felt the moment you walk in the doors.

Vintage Finds is comprised of four main vendors and various pieces on consignment from individuals.  Vendors include ‘Mama Had That’ by Maxine Cannon; ‘Procrastination Ranch’ by Tom Burke; Coy’s Corner by Coy Paul Bailey II and Lonestar Legacy Designs by JT and Cindy Thomas.

One benefit to having many businesses represented is that the inventory is updated frequently.  Make this shop a scheduled stop on your trips to town and find that treasure you didn’t even know you were missing.

You can visit the store Monday, Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Thursday 10 a.m. to 7p.m., or Sunday from 1p.m. to 4p.m..
